Software tip: Cocoa MacVim

Works and looks better than any of the other OSX versions

I've been using VIM for probably more than 14 years now. There may be dozen good Code editors for OSX, I simply can't live without it. I have been using MacVim.org versions, and though it worked reasonably well (though it felt a bit strange on OSX) I disliked having to start multiple instances for multiple editors.

Yesterday I ran into a new, Cocoa based Vim port for OSX. Eventhough it's still relatively experimental (there are some known issues), it's been working really well for me, even from the command line. it provides multiple toplevel windows in one application instance, tabs and more tight OSX integration, drag 'n' drop and even functionality for remote controlling the Application Server to open new tabs, execute commands, and so on.
