Plone3 experiences - let's start a blog!

My old site died two years ago, and I haven't found the time to create anything new. There's always things holding me back like "I want a decent design first", "I want to wait for the next release of Plone", etc.

Well. now there is a new release of Plone, with a new design ("nuPlone"), so I guess now's the time. Also, Kevin Teague's screencast inspired me as well - you don't need any fancy blogging products with Plone to build a decent Plone!

So, what's the verdict? As you can see, I didn't pick the nuPlone skin - it's simply not my style. It lacks some of the subtle details the classic skin has, if you remove the portlets on the right the content area doesn't expand, and so on.

So for now I'll stick with the classic skin. Hopefully I'll get a more decent design soon.

My first steps will be to fill the site with some content first before going public - there are to many blogs around with two or three very enthousiastic first posts that are more than a year old.. :)
