Nokia's new tablet
Folllowup to n770, n800
There are already some reviews for nokia's new N810 internet tablet. Some of the improvements are
- A Keyboard (I don't like numeric keypads or handwriting recognition for entering text)
- GPS! (with free maps)
- Mozilla browser with Flash9
- Camera
- FM transmitter (not sure if I'll ever need it)
- And of course, Linux-powered Tablet OS 2008
And it still has the existing features such as:
- Wifi (possibly wimax!)
- SD card slot
- 800x600 touchscreen
- And you still can't make calls with it :) (Except for VOIP/Skype)
Power consumption is not very impressive unfortuately, 4 hours of average use, 10 hours of mp3 playing. The price is reasonable, $479,- (if we Europeans can buy it for that price as well, $479 is appr. €340,- but onfortunately there's an annoying trend to use a conversion of $1 = €1)
I mysteriously lost my previous N770 which was fortunately really cheap (€90 ex VAT), so I'm really looking forward to this gadget.
