eMusic.com probably selling customer records to spammers
Either that or they have been hacked and their data has been stolen
I just noticed I've been receiving massive amounts of spam on an email address that I uniquely created when registering at eMusic.com. This can only mean that eMusic.com has been selling their customer records to spammers, or that the records have been stolen (i.e. they have been hacked).
Unfortunately their contact form doesn't work so I can't even ask them why I receive spam so I'll just draw my own conclusions for now. My advise would, of course, be to stay away from these guys.
Google, of course, knows more.
For me the solution is easy, I just block the address in my MTA. Most other people probably won't be so fortunate.
